NOTE: As of 2022 the Center for Executive Coaching is now accredited with the ICF as a Level 2 Coach Training Organization. The ICF has changed their language and replaced ACTP with Level 2. We were among the first group of coach training programs to receive this accreditation, after a rigorous review by the ICF.

How a business coach expanded into executive coaching

Antonio McCoy worked for the United States Postal Service (USPS) helping customers improve their marketing and sales campaigns using mail. He was so good at it that his customers wanted to pay him, but of course as a federal employee he couldn’t accept payment. He also coached over 400 postmasters about helping their customers improve results. All of this made him a natural business coach. Until a year ago, 100% of his business was business coaching. Then he chose to expand into executive coaching, specifically working with minority executives in school systems.

In this video, Antonio tells his story and offers six great pieces of advice. His last piece of advice is unique and really valuable — and few coaches are doing it. Please listen until the end to hear what he has to say about this very unique and cutting-edge way to market your practice and stay in touch with clients and prospective clients.

Enjoy! If you like this and other interviews with Center for Executive Coaching graduates, we should talk! Contact us anytime after you review the programs on our website: 941-539-9623 or info@centerforexecutivecoaching.com. Be sure to tell us a bit about your background and goals as a coach.
