ICF Credential Renewal Requirements 

ICF credentials are renewed every three years to help ensure coaches continue developing their skills, maintaining professional standards, and delivering effective coaching to their clients.

Whether you hold an ACC or PCC credential, renewal requires 40 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) credits, including specific Core Competency and Coaching Ethics requirements.

CEC's ICF Recertification Program provides a structured, faculty-led learning experience designed to support those continuing education requirements while helping you grow as a practicing executive coach.

Coaching Ethics Requirement

ICF requires 3 CCE credits in Coaching Ethics for ACC and PCC renewal. Participants can fulfill this requirement through ICF's complimentary Ethics Course .

Renewing Your ACC?

ACC credential holders must also complete 10 hours of Mentor Coaching, which count toward their Core Competency requirements. Mentor Coaching is not included in the base program and is available separately through CEC.

Participants are responsible for confirming their individual ICF renewal requirements and submitting their credential renewal applications directly to ICF.
